1. Material Standards
The base material of the aluminum alloy fence must comply with the provisions of GB/T 5237.6-2017 Aluminum Alloy Building Profiles Part 6: Thermal Insulation Profiles, requiring a magnesium (Mg) content of 0.45%~0.9% and a silicon (Si) content of 0.2%~0.6% (Data source: National Standardization Management Committee). Tensile strength must be ≥160MPa, and Webster hardness ≥8HW to ensure sufficient mechanical properties.
2. Corrosion Protection and Surface Treatment
According to GB 5237.5-2017 Aluminum Alloy Building Profiles Part 5: Painted Profiles, the surface coating thickness of the fence should meet the following requirements:
Powder coating ≥40μm
Fluorocarbon coating ≥30μm (Outdoor environmental requirements)
Salt spray test must pass 1000 hours without blistering or peeling (Refer to GB/T 10125-2021).
3. Structural Safety Specifications
Although GB 50755-2012, the Code for Construction of Steel Structures, specifically addresses steel structures, Article 4.3 clearly specifies the load requirements for aluminum alloy guardrails:
Horizontal load ≥ 1.0 kN/m (residential buildings)
Vertical load ≥ 1.2 kN/m (public buildings)
